Meet Yoga Instructor Amy Arman
Assistant Managing Director and Yoga Teacher
Amy has had the rare opportunity to train and grow at Samahita Retreat since completing her teacher training with Paul and Elonne in 2010. Starting out as an apprentice, Amy has been blessed to learn from some of the Yoga world’s most experienced and gifted teachers and now combines her role as teacher with that of Assistant Managing Director.
As a mother of two spirited daughters, Esika and Nieve and fiancé to entrepreneur Tony, Amy’s teaching encompasses both the maturity and playful expression that comes from being a mother, teacher and practitioner. Amy has been living in Asia for nine years, working as a freelance journalist and bringing up her daughters. She originally hails from England where her formative years were spent in Devon and London, studying Theatre.
Having had the privilege to work with and learn from thousands of students during her time at Samahita Retreat, Amy’s focus lies in helping individuals find their own sustainable practice, which can both support and develop their life and relationship with the world.
Amy continues her lifelong studies with her teacher Paul Dallaghan and Paul’s teacher, Sri O.P Tiwariji from Kaivalyadhama. She delights in the opportunity to practice each year with Richard Freeman and Mary Taylor. Amy teaches with great energy, passion and laughter, inspired by the grace that comes from being present to life in all its myriad of forms.
