About the Retreat
Though the retreat title is Mindfulness and Yin yoga retreat, in the morning practice, we will incorporate meditation, pranayama and Hatha style asana practice. In the afternoon session, we will share mindfulness philosophy and yin yoga. This retreat will help one to explore from the gross body to the subtle body and also start /or continue building a foundation for mindfulness and Yin yoga practice. The retreat is designed for all-levels of practitioner. For people who already have a foundation of asana practice and would like to start a meditation program, and discover yin yoga as well as hatha asana, it's an ideal introduction.
參加避靜營是個開始新年的好方式。這ㄧ週，在蘇美島如人間仙境的海邊，我們的瑜伽學校裡，早晨梵唱，靜坐，呼吸及體位法練習; 下午討論正念哲學和陰瑜珈練習。瑜伽學校的主廚將為我們準備當地新鮮及充滿能量的悅性食物。中午休息的時間，您可以沿著白色沙灘散步或在天然鹽水泳池中放鬆，享受著熱帶陽光。 下午正念哲學和陰瑜珈練習後，可以藉由蒸氣草藥浴來排毒舒緩身體。然後在半開放式的涼亭餐廳享受海邊微風晚餐。給予自己這ㄧ週的時間和空間，讓身心靈能在這大自然的環境下重新的整合療癒，讓內在以飽滿全新的能量開始新的一年。
About the Teacher
Michelle is a yogini who has experienced how yoga change her health and life. She comes from a Hatha/Ashtanga yoga background and her practice is also deeply and evenly influenced by pranayama, yin yoga, and meditation. She completed RYT 500 teacher training with Sri O.P. Tiwari and Paul Dallaghan and is also certified Yin yoga teacher by Sarah Powers. Sarah's teaching of interweaving the mindfulness insights, practice of yoga and Buddhist wisdom resonated so much with Michelle. Other buddism wisdom also have deeply influenced Michelle’s practice and teaching: Thick Nhat Hann, a Vietnamese Zen Buddist monk, who has dedicated his life to help people through books, speeches, meditation retreats to live a mindful life with peace.
By practicing yin yoga and developing a habit of mindfulness practice, Michelle's yang/dynamic yoga practice has shifted. Yoga not only provided her a deeper understanding of the Self and truth, it also brought her transformative changes and the ability to embody harmony, love, and joy in life. On this note, Michelle is grateful of all the inspiration and teachings from every teacher on this path of Yoga. The program begins at 5pm on the first day of the retreat with a group welcome and departure is at 12pm on the last day.

Deluxe One Bedroom Suite
We only have two deluxe one bedroom suites located in our most private building closest to the sea. They have a private bedroom, living room, fully equipped kitchen, generous bathroom and an extra large balcony. Both suites offer a modern open living room with sofa bed, LCD TV, working desk and DVD/ iPod Stereo. They are perfect for a family or couple. The additional rate is a flat rate based on the room and is added on to the total rate package whether a single individual, couple or family.

Michelle leads us to observe the breath to be aware of our body sensations, change of emotions and the movement of thoughts. Furthermore to use such awareness on the mat to trace back on our own life experience and also cultivate the loving-kindness and compassion towards self and others. This practice will also extend outside of yoga mat, the loving-kindness and compassion let us know that we are not alone and this is an important life skill for people nowadays.
