About the Retreat
In this retreat, we will develop our self-practice of yoga asana and breathwork - pranayama. At the same time, we will explore where the practice of yoga comes from, what the different elements of the practice are and why we practice yoga to begin with.
All levels are welcome. This is an opportunity to be in yoga, to live it, to immerse ourselves in the practice of yoga. It is a chance to be in a healthy and uplifting setting with like-minded people, learning about the practice while building something solid that we can take with us to enrich our lives. Get in it, and develop a love and appreciation for the practice. The joy is ours to celebrate; it is already in us.
Throughout the week, we will have morning breathwork - pranayama, intention setting, chanting and asana practice (led asana and self practice classes), afternoon discussions and restorative asana classes, and of course lots of bhakti/devotion! Some mornings there will be additional silent walks or walking meditations, and some evenings we will have optional kirtan, satsang and other activities.

About the Teacher
Elonne has been a committed yoga practitioner and devotee since the early age of 14. She has lived and taught in the Bahamas, Canada, India, the United States, and Taiwan where she has taught asana, pranayama, and meditation at yoga studios, ashrams, resorts, schools, orphanages, hospitals, and clinics.
In 2006, Elonne moved to Asia, where she met her teachers, Paul Dallaghan, O.P. Tiwari, and Richard Freeman.
As Elonne's understanding of the practice grows, she feels more and more like a beginner, and she is excited to continue this journey. She feels blessed by the opportunity to teach at Samahita Retreat, and she is extremely grateful for the chance to help others while she continues her own studies. For more see her full bio.

any thanks to all of you ! I would recommend to everyone to take a Detox Program. I feel as I was a month only relaxing. My yoga practice during the detox program was both more intense and more relaxing.
I did the Faster's Detox Program and the juices, soups and teas were more than enough to keep my yoga practice as usual and all tasted excellent. During the detox program I didn't feel any difficulties to take advantage of pranayama, asanas and any other activities I usually do.
It was easy to manage this 14 days program. The wellness team gave me great support, and helpful information about all the questions that I had. I enjoy every wellness treatment, which were done very professionally and with great care. I felt very well during my detox program and was surrounded by the excellent wellness team. I feel healthier and very clean in my mind and my body.

I didn't get a chance to say thank you for our amazing month at Yoga Thailand. I learned so much, both about yoga and myself. The pranayama is relatively new to me, but so helpful and strengthening - I already feel and difference and will continue my practice on and off the ship.

This was my first guided detox. Very well organised, especially while participating in a very busy schedule such as the Yoga Teachers Training. I feel very good, I've learned and will practice these new techniques. The staff were more than helpful - you truely felt well taken care of. Overall a switch has gone off in my mind and the inside of my belly. I am so much more conscious of my digestive system. And will still continue the good habits showed to me in only 3 days.
