About the Retreat
In this retreat, we will develop our self-practice of yoga asana and breathwork - pranayama. At the same time, we will explore where the practice of yoga comes from, what the different elements of the practice are and why we practice yoga to begin with.
All levels are welcome. This is an opportunity to be in yoga, to live it, to immerse ourselves in the practice of yoga. It is a chance to be in a healthy and uplifting setting with like-minded people, learning about the practice while building something solid that we can take with us to enrich our lives. Get in it, and develop a love and appreciation for the practice. The joy is ours to celebrate; it is already in us.
Throughout the week, we will have morning breathwork - pranayama, intention setting, chanting and asana practice (led asana and self practice classes), afternoon discussions and restorative asana classes, and of course lots of bhakti/devotion! Some mornings there will be additional silent walks or walking meditations, and some evenings we will have optional kirtan, satsang and other activities.

About the Teacher
Elonne has been a committed yoga practitioner and devotee since the early age of 14. She has lived and taught in the Bahamas, Canada, India, the United States, and Taiwan where she has taught asana, pranayama, and meditation at yoga studios, ashrams, resorts, schools, orphanages, hospitals, and clinics.
In 2006, Elonne moved to Asia, where she met her teachers, Paul Dallaghan, O.P. Tiwari, and Richard Freeman.
As Elonne's understanding of the practice grows, she feels more and more like a beginner, and she is excited to continue this journey. She feels blessed by the opportunity to teach at Samahita Retreat, and she is extremely grateful for the chance to help others while she continues her own studies. For more see her full bio.

I really just wanted to thank you for guiding me toward removing those thought patterns. I didn't even
fully realize until I returned home how much you & the Koh Samui retreat helped me break out of that.
You told me I could do it and I thought your were OUT OF YOUR MIND!!! I expected to broaden my practice and see

I feel our everyday bad habits, such as drinking and eating unhealthy liquids and produce can creep up on us without realising the long term effects on the body. Doing a detox here at Samahita taught me so much about how my unhealthy habits over the years had affected my overall health. Especially the importance of our bowels! 10 day detox is one of the best things I have ever done for my being, as I leave happier, healthier and holier :-)

We left Samahita Yoga Thailand very early the last day, but my parents, brother and I wanted to thank you very much for the delightful moments we have spent in your retreat. We had such a pleasure of a stay at Samahita Yoga Thailand. Between Paul, Jutima and all the lovely staff, you have created such a precious oasis and sanctuary on Koh Samui. A centre filled with such light and consciousness!
We are hoping that Hillary will run another fast at Samahita Yoga Thailand next year. We'll do almost anything to come back again.

This is the first time I have ever done anything like this. After 7 days of detox, I feel absolutely fabulous. I would certainly recommend this to anyone who is thinking about making changes in their lifestyle and to anyone who feels the need to cleanse or simply just to get away and relax.
