Yoga: The Joy of Practice

September 15 - 22, 2012

with Elonne Stockton

About the Retreat

In this retreat, we will develop our self-practice of yoga asana and breathwork - pranayama. At the same time, we will explore where the practice of yoga comes from, what the different elements of the practice are and why we practice yoga to begin with.

All levels are welcome. This is an opportunity to be in yoga, to live it, to immerse ourselves in the practice of yoga. It is a chance to be in a healthy and uplifting setting with like-minded people, learning about the practice while building something solid that we can take with us to enrich our lives. Get in it, and develop a love and appreciation for the practice. The joy is ours to celebrate; it is already in us.

Throughout the week, we will have morning breathwork - pranayama, intention setting, chanting and asana practice (led asana and self practice classes), afternoon discussions and restorative asana classes, and of course lots of bhakti/devotion! Some mornings there will be additional silent walks or walking meditations, and some evenings we will have optional kirtan, satsang and other activities.

Please join us!

Testimonials

Great experience. Have taken a lot from this.
David, UK 2011

I would just like to extend my deepest thanks and gratitude to you both for taking the time and sincere effort to help all of us stiff people. You've provided me with a tool to harness and unlock my true self which lies dormant inside me. During the retreat, my practice evolved into something resembling an angelic shape rather than a lump of clay.
Judd, USA 2006

Paul, I want to thank you again for being the first to introduce me to the practice, in a way that was incredibly inspiring and motivating. Not everyone has the ability to teach well, and I want to compliment you on your obvious gift to share your passion with others.
Thanks for the encouragement - it really helps.
Treena, Canada - Italy 2006

he detox program helped clean up a lot of digestive problems that had emerged and were affecting my practice as well as general being. The combination of the detailed detox program and the close attention to each asana in daily practice has set me up to re-begin my practice, both asana and nutrition.
Ross, Hong Kong 2010

This was an excellent holiday - I relaxed, read alot of books, had free wifi, and lay by the beach and pool. I did loads of yoga and didn't feel tired. I even ate and drank well, though I was detoxing. The food was well planned and I was never hungry! (I'm small) Thank You.
