About the Retreat

We will integrate all eight limbs of the yogic path in this retreat - combining Asana, Pranayama, Meditation and Chanting, as well as Philosophy.

There will be in-depth exploration of the first series of the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga method.

Emphasis on proper alignment of the postures, the breath and it’s internal patterns and the subtle workings of Drishti, the placement of the gaze. Beyond the first series of the Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga system we will explore a variety of yogic practices like Meditation, Pranayama, Chanting and Philosophy. We will spend time in the afternoons exploring the deep relaxation through Yin Yoga practices. Our intention is for you to feel uplifted and clear in your practice as you travel back home ready to integrate yogic wisdom into your day to day life.

The retreat is open to all levels and ages of practitioners from the beginner to the experienced yoga practitioner. The retreat will be bilingual in German and English. We offer a very personalized approach to your individual needs within the Ashtanga Vinyasa System – we appreciate modifications as needed.

About the Teacher

Romana and Sascha Delberg are dedicated yoga practitioners running the Yogawerkstatt in the heart of Vienna. They are both committed to nurturing a community of people that actively learn about the full spectrum of yogic practices, reducing stress and reactivity and transform old habitual patterns for a freer and happier experience of life.

Sascha Delberg has been practicing yoga since 2000 and began meditating while traveling in South-East Asia in 2003. His asana yoga practice is rooted in the Ashtanga Vinyasa tradition. He focuses on proper alignment, the subtle energetics of breathing and directing awareness in practice. He is teaching from the heart, gently nudging those, that need some additional tapas, and slowing those down into more detail, that are too enthusiastic.

He has studied in depth with Richard Freeman, Paul Dallaghan, Sri O.P. Tiwari. He has had an intense period of study in Mysore with the late Shri K. Pattabhi Jois.

Romana Delberg has been practicing yoga since 1997, but developed a passion and dedication for the various yogic practices in 2003. What initially drew her to yoga, still continues to inspire her to practice and teach Yoga Asana, Pranayama, Meditation, the texts and chants. It is the Yoga’s power to transform slowly our deep habitual patterns into a more mindful and loving view of ourselves and others. Romana provides detailed instructions and takes care of a supportive, non-competitive environment to nurture a meditative body awareness.

Romana has been and still is studying regularly over long periods of time with Richard Freeman and Mary Taylor, Michael Stone, Paul Dallaghan and Sri OP Tiwari.

The Daily Schedule

The program begins at 5pm on the first day of the retreat with a group welcome and departure is at 12pm on the last day.
The schedule is subject to change at the discretion of the teacher.

Deluxe One Bedroom Suite

We only have two deluxe one bedroom suites located in our most private building closest to the sea. They have a private bedroom, living room, fully equipped kitchen, generous bathroom and an extra large balcony. Both suites offer a modern open living room with sofa bed, LCD TV, working desk and DVD/ iPod Stereo. They are perfect for a family or couple. The additional rate is a flat rate based on the room and is added on to the total rate package whether a single individual, couple or family.

Deluxe One Bedroom Suite - Additional cost on the total program package:

I am sorry to say that I arrived back at my desk yesterday and am day dreaming of Thailand. Thank you very much for accommodating me. I had a fabulous time and it must be said that the standard of teaching was nothing less than excellent.

This is my second time doing detox at Samahita but a different program. I had fluctuation in my energy and emotion this time alot more than last time, but I got through the period as I had support from the detox and Wellness team, including other friends.
