About the Retreat

Strengthen & Balance

Learn how the practice trains, fortifies, refines and balances the body and the nervous system, enabling us to show up to life’s challenges and do what needs to be done.

This week’s retreat will be led by experienced yoga teacher Amy Arman, who has trained extensively with her teacher Paul Dallaghan and Paul’s teacher, Sri.O.P. Tiwariji.

Discover daily morning intention and contemplation, followed by pranayama from the Kaivalyadhama & O.P. Tiwariji tradition. Amy’s role willl be to enable students to learn asana (poses) and vinyasa (movement) with breath based on a liberal approach to Ashtanga Vinyasa. For those new to yoga this will be a chance to build a strong foundation, leading to a sustainable (and realistic) self-practice. For those with more experience Amy will be working closely to bring awareness to any areas of the practice (and life) where there is potential for greater integration and alignment.

Afternoon sessions will give us the opportunity to cultivate mindfulness and space through a slowly developing meditation, followed by technique and study workshops including:

Stress and Responsibilities – Doing What Needs to be Done

Creativity and Laughter – Finding Balance

There will be plenty of time for Q&A and relaxing restorative yoga plus some live music & kirtan featuring Amy and friends.

Samahita Yoga Retreats are for everyone, all ages and levels, sincerely looking to learn and build a stronger foundation for practice or to enjoy a yoga holiday.

The retreat also includes a boat tour of the outlying islands and plenty of time for relaxing and exploring the beaches and cultural highlights of Koh Samui.

About the Teacher

Amy Arman

Amy Sharp Amy Arman VDO Bio

Amy has been teaching at Samahita Retreat since 2011, where she continues to work closely with students from around the world. Her intention is to empower students to create their own sustainable practice built on the foundations developed by Paul Dallaghan and Sri. O.P. Tiwari. Amy combines teaching with her role as Assistant Managing Director.

Amy studied acting and theatre in London and has been living in Thailand for seven years, working as a freelance writer for magazines, focused on wellness and travel. She has two young daughters. Amy lives her life immersed in raising children, teaching and the biggest practice of all; learning how to live yoga. finding balance and joy through all of life's many adventures. Friend / Family Room & Board Rates

These are available to any registered Samahita Retreat guest's partner, family member or friend, who is not interested in participating in any of the programs but will stay in a room and board capacity. Shared accommodation, food, and the facilities are open to the Room & Board guest(s).

During our Peak periods, the friends and family rate applies to single and deluxe rooms only.

Deluxe One Bedroom Suite

We only have two deluxe one bedroom suites located in our most private building closest to the sea. They have a private bedroom, living room, fully equipped kitchen, generous bathroom and an extra large balcony. Both suites offer a modern open living room with sofa bed, LCD TV, working desk and DVD/ iPod Stereo. They are perfect for a family or couple. The additional rate is a flat rate based on the room and is added on to the total rate package whether a single individual, couple or family.

Deluxe One Bedroom Suite - Additional cost on the total program package:

  • 2,100 per day
  • 13,440 for one week
  • 26,040 for two weeks
  • 37,800 for three weeks
  • 46,200 for four weeks

Our guestrooms are set back just over 50 meters from the water to provide with you with a private community and greater security. A selection of our rooms enjoy this spectacular sea view, while others enjoy the tropical gardens scene.

It is possible to extend your time on detox day by day from an above program as fits your timeline. You can also add extra therapies and treatments to your program at a special discounted rate.
