Meet our Samahita Retreat travelingÂ yoga instructors. Â These talented yoga instructors continue to teach and share their passion in their home countries and during Retreats and Teacher Trainings at Samahita Retreat in Thailand.
Elonne started practicing yoga at age 14 and has taught yoga worldwide from the time she completed her first 200 hour teacher training in January, 2003.
Since moving to Asia in 2006, she has devoted thousands of hours to studying with her teachers, Sri O.P. Tiwari, Paul Dallaghan, Richard Freeman, and Mary Taylor.
Both formally and informally, Elonne continues her studies in Mandarin, Sanskrit and Pali, as well as Buddhism and Eastern philosophies.

Arielle has spent nearly 20 years studying the human body, its performance and factors that contribute to wellness. Her passion and knowledge led her to a decade long career training athletes and educating fitness professionals. Arielle has been teaching yoga since 2004 and she holds a degree in Kinesiology, along with certifications in Mysofascial Compression TechniquesÂ©, Strength & Conditioning, and Nutrition & Wellness. After graduating from Centered Yogaâs Teacher Training in 2005 with Paul, she returned to Koh Samui every year to deepen her practice and study before making it her home in 2013. Her primary teachers are Paul Dallaghan and Sharath R. Jois.
Arielle is Centered Yoga's lead anatomy educator, teaching anatomy for continuing education courses and teacher trainings at Samahita. Arielle takes yoga off the mat at home as a proud mother of twin toddlers. For more please see her full see full bio.
Anthea joined Samahita Retreat in 2013. She initially connected with the center in 2008 on her very first yoga retreat, again for teacher training in 2010 and for many continued education courses in between. Anthea was also fortunate to have been able to study with Paul Dallaghan on his trips home to Dublin where she is also from. Although Ireland is dear to her heart, Anthea was always a person of the world and spent almost two years prior to joining the team between Bali, Thailand and India, studying, practicing and delving deeper into yoga practices. Her curiosity for ancient cultures, love for the yoga practices and also for tropical climates, pulled her time and time again to Asia.
Since 2007 Anthea's practice has been predominantly Ashtanga Yoga, later to include Pranayama in the Kaivalyadhama tradition, mantra, meditation and most recently Yin Yoga. Teaching came naturally to Anthea, purely out of a desire to share what she was learning herself and the benefits she was experiencing. She loves to work with people on all aspects of yoga, health and wellbeing. Anthea previously tried on many roles in the corporate world and is grateful to have been given the opportunity at Samahita to combine her skills in both business and yoga teaching, in a place she already considered a second home. Sara completed her Centered Yoga Training in June 2005. She is a dedicated and focused student of yoga, which is evident in her teaching and sharing of the practices. Sara has studied both Pranayama and Asana intensively and is a senior graduate of Centered Yoga Institute. She teaches yoga regularly in Stockholm, Sweden and is also director and head teacher of the Yogayama Teacher Training, one of the most successful yoga schools in Scandinavia. In addition, Sara is a student of and practitioner of ayurveda and nutrition. Sara has been returning to teach at Samahita Retreat since 2005. For more please see her full bio.
TracyÂ is passionate about helping people to re-ignite their vibrancy, radiant health and well-being through nutrition, yoga and mind-body holistic therapies. She believes in daily practice to evolve greater self-awareness, love and acceptance. She believes in the healing power of foods and natural herbal supplements, having seen and experienced the miracle of food-as-medicine when taken with right consciousness.
Tracy is a mind-body-spirit integrative therapist, practicing and teaching cranial-sacral and polarity therapy for several years. She is blessed to have a personal Ashtanga yoga practice since 2004 and pranayama since 2011. She has completed 600 hours of training at Samahita Retreat, finished Natalia Rose's PhDetox program, isÂ a Certified Nutritionist Consultant, and is completing The Southwest Institute of Healing Arts' Holistic Nutrition program.For more please see her full bio David has always had a passion for fitness and movement joining the Royal Marines at aged 18, where he served for over four years, seeing active service in Afghanistan during 2007/8. He then became a Firefighter in 2009, using his spare time to gain further qualifications as a Yoga Teacher, Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer. David has spent the past six years studying Filipino Kyusho Martial Arts under Grand Master Angelo Baldissone, earning his black belt in 2014. He is also a proponent of functional movement, bodyweight calisthenics and yoga â practicing diligently 6-7 days a week. All these disciplines help to compliment Davidâs understanding of movement and drive his enthusiasm to constantly learn more about the mind and body. This desire led him to Samahita in May 2015 to continue his development in Asana and an introduction into Pranayama with Paul. David worked as the Fitness Manager for Samahita Retreat from November 2015 to November 2016, and he is now back in England with his wife, Ellie. For more, please read full bio
After taking her first yoga class aged 15, Ellie discovered Ashtanga yoga is where her heart lies. Over the last few years she has continued to develop her practice and in May 2015 came to Samahita to complete her 200 hour Centered Yoga Teaching Training with Paul. It is here where she gained the knowledge on the philosophy of yoga, pranayama and the key elements of each pose within the physical practice.
Ellie worked for Samahita Retreat from November 2015 to November 2016. During her time at Samahita, she also completed Centered Yogaâs continuing education trainings, including the pre and post natal training. Ellie loves helping people connect to the practice of yoga, and she understands the importance of offering them support and positivity.
Ellie is now back in England with her husband, David, but she looks forward to visiting Samahita Retreat again soon.
Stephen completed his Centered Yoga Training in 2003 and has been a regular dedicated student and friend since. He has been teaching retreats, workshops and trainings throughout Asia in Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Sri Lanka. We are happy to have him be part of our regular teaching staff in 2010 onward. Jessica has been involved with Samahita Retreat since the foundation in 2003. She came as a dedicated student to then move on from her corporate professional career to commit full time to Yoga and Ayurveda. She lived and taught on site for many years. She now runs her own studio in New Orleans and returns to Samahita Retreat for specific programs. For more please see her full bio.
Adarsh teaches a contemplative style of yoga that embraces both modern innovation and traditional wisdom. Since 1995, Adarsh has been engaged in the field of natural healing and has received certifications in therapeutic massage and active isolated stretching. He continues as a student of Ashtanga Yoga and its sister sciences of Sanskrit, Ayurveda, and Bhakti. Adarsh has continuously traveled to Asia since 2001 for study and pilgrimage and has received teaching Authorization by his late Guruji Shri. K Pattabhi Jois of Mysore, India. Adarsh directs the Ashtanga Yoga Shala in Palo Alto, CA specializing in progressive instruction for beginner through advanced levels.
Through in depth study of human anatomy and physiology and formal training as a massage therapist, Adarsh is highly regarded for his sensitive yet deep adjusting style. He has experience working with a wide variety of students of diverse abilities, ages, and backgrounds. With a deeply held belief that anyone can develop a personal yoga practice, Adarsh is an energetic teacher who infuses his enthusiasm for practice and hard work in his students.
Sean completed his Centered Yoga Training in November 2004. Since 2003 he has spent most of his time in Asia for both yoga and chiropractic, until recently relocating back to Australia with his family where he now teaches and is in the process of opening a shala. Sean's passion for holistic health not only resulted in him becoming a Doctor of Chiropractic but also led him to the path of yoga. His chiropractic studies gave him a deep understanding of anatomy which he is able to apply when teaching yoga and also when treating yogis as a chiropractor. Paul completed his Samahita Retreat Yoga Training in July 2011, and after gaining his 500 hour accreditation he was resident at Samahita for a 9 month work/study program in 2012-2013. Paul has a commitment and dedication to the lifelong study of yoga. And with a sincere daily practice of pranayama, asana and meditation, he passionately continues his studies under the guidance of Paul Dallaghan and Sri O.P. Tiwariji.
Paul delivers a light-hearted and uplifting approach to yoga, working intelligently with the body and sharing his passion for yoga with kindness and humor. Outside of his time at Samahita, Paul spends most of his time at home in Cairns, Far North Queensland, Australia, where he teaches weekly classes and workshops. For more see his full bio.
