About the RetreatIf you are new to yoga and are ready to learn more about the physical postures as well the more subtle aspects of yoga, then this retreat is for you.
If you already have an established daily yoga practice and are looking to go deeper, then this retreat is also for you.
If you want to do yoga in a safe, supportive, and caring environment, then this retreat is also for you!
During these seven days, we will allow the yoga to take us on a magical and transformational journey. We will learn and/or deepen our knowledge of the yogic cleansing practices (kriyas), pranayama techniques, and the physical asana practice.
During the sunrise morning pranayama and meditation sessions, we will breath in the fresh sea air and take in the golden prana of the rising sun. After that, we will awaken the body by moving through some physical postures. Everyone will learn a sequence that is suitable and manageable for their specific body type and time constraints. Both the pranayama and asana classes will be guided and moving toward a manageable, realistic independent self-practice.
Afternoons are for deep relaxation and conditioning and strengthening restorative yoga asana, along with some time to discuss any topics that are arising for you.
Evenings are reserved for quiet time, reflection and guided meditation.
There will be opportunities to enjoy alone time and group bonding, all on the beautiful island of Koh Samui, in Thailand.

About the Teacher
About Summer Dien:
Summer Dien is an internationally known yoga teacher of pranayama and ashtanga yoga. She has taught classes, retreats and workshops all over Asia and Europe.
Yoga came into Summerâs life in 2010 while she working as a kindergarten teacher in Doha, Qatar. It helped her manage her stress and depression. ItÂ completely changed her life, in the best way possible, and still continues to do so. She completed her teacher training in 2013 at Samahita Retreat in Koh Samui, Thailand with Paul Dallaghan. SummerÂ stayed on to work at Samahita Retreat as a yoga teacher and wellness advisor for two years from 2013-2015. She taught pranayama, mysore,Â led ashtanga, restorative yoga, and guided meditation classes and also assisted on retreats and teacher training courses. During those two years, Summer worked with over thousands of different people from diverse backgrounds, with different body types, injuries and other issues. With that wealth of experience and a firm foundation in teaching, she went on to lead her own yoga retreat and teach workshops and classes all over the world.
She believes in using the body in the most intelligent and efficient way possible and has a liberal, non-dogmatic approach to asana. She is dedicated to a daily practice of pranayama and asana. Always a student first, sheÂ continues to study extensively with her teachers Sri OP Tiwariji and Paul Dallaghan in the areas of pranayama and asana.
Summer is very excited to share yoga with you all at Samahita, which she considers to be her Yoga Home.

Friend / Family Room & Board Rates
These are available to any registered Samahita Retreat guest's partner, family member or friend, who is not interested in participating in any of the programs but will stay in a room and board capacity. Shared accommodation, food, and the facilities are open to the Room & Board guest(s).
During our Peak periods, the friends and family rate applies to single and deluxe rooms only.
Deluxe One Bedroom Suite
We only have two deluxe one bedroom suites located in our most private building closest to the sea. They have a private bedroom, living room, fully equipped kitchen, generous bathroom and an extra large balcony. Both suites offer a modern open living room with sofa bed, LCD TV, working desk and DVD/ iPod Stereo. They are perfect for a family or couple. The additional rate is a flat rate based on the room and is added on to the total rate package whether a single individual, couple or family.
Deluxe One Bedroom Suite - Additional cost on the total program package:

OurÂ guestroomsÂ are set back just over 50 meters from the water to provide with you with a private community and greater security. A selection of ourÂ roomsÂ enjoy this spectacular sea view, while others enjoy the tropical gardens scene.
It is possible to extend your time on detox day by day from an above program as fits your timeline. You can also add extra therapies and treatments to your program at a special discounted rate.

Summer is one of the best yoga teachers I have met. She is very dedicated but also very willing to take all the time of the world to help you further in your practice.

I went on my first ever yoga retreat in Morocco with Summer as my teacher. She had such a patient and loving way to teach us the wonders of yoga and was very inspiring. Her way to spread peace and love around her made the sometimes hard practice of yoga so rewarding.
We had a very intensive week with Summer in January âstarting with pranayama and the ashtanga sequence in the morningâ¦and a more flexible yoga class in the evening. Summer also offered guided meditations on a few evenings-she really offered us a lot! As the days passed, the yoga became more at each of our own paces (mysore style) âI never thought that I would have the discipline to follow such a routine on my own but thanks to Summer, it came along very easily during the week and Iâm now following my own routine at home at least twice a week. Summer is a natural teacher, we were so luck to have so much of her attention that week. She explains the techniques very carefully, is quick to correct us when our posture or pose is wrong and best of all, she pushed us when we didnât have the courage or confidence to master a pose.
