About the Retreat
Master Patanjali’s Yoga Sutra is the backbone of Raja Yoga. Each chapter leads us into a different way through the steps we need to take to fulfill our destiny in this life.
Join Karina and Vincent in order to study in depth this essential book of yoga through theory and practice. Dedicating our precious time in life to discuss the most sacred ancient knowledge of Yoga, enjoying as well nature and friends in a peaceful environment.
We will discuss the four chapters of the Yoga Sutra and different commentaries in depth; we will practice asana and experience the art of sequencing, learning how to improve our physical practice avoiding injuries; we will enjoy the ancient practice of recitation of the Yoga Sutra in Sanskrit; finishing every day with our evening program of Kirtan and Meditation, exploring Nada Yoga (sound) as a tool to help our evolution as human beings.
This 50hr certificate program is designed for all level yoga practitioners and yoga teachers who are willing to broaden their knowledge of Yoga enjoying the surroundings of exhilarating nature.
Those who are not attending the 50 hr. continuing training will have a lighter program. They are welcome to take free time to relax, enjoy nature, family and the facilities of Samahita Retreat.

About the Teacher
Karina Arenas Bonansea
Born in Argentina, South America, Karina loves travelling and learning from different cultures. She first began studying administration and accountancy at the National University of San Luis in Argentina. She then went to Spain to continue her studies and obtained her Masters degree there.
She has realized that through her daily practice of asanas, pranayama, meditation and being vegetarian, her life perspective has completely changed. She completed the Teachers Training Course and Advanced Teachers Training Course at the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centers. She has been studying with several internationally recognized teachers as Andrey Lappa, David Swenson, Patrick Creelman, Sharon Gannon and David Life, Geshe Michael, among others.
Karina is an experienced yoga teacher who has been teaching to thousands of people around the world in different countries such as Spain, France, England, Austria, Argentina, Peru, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India and Canada.
She regularly teaches at Teacher Trainings and Advanced Teacher Trainings of the International Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Centers. She models for several Sivananda publications including the international book “Yoga: Your Home Practice Companion”.
She did Sanskrit studies in 2004 at the Shivananda School in Spain with Swami Krishnananda and Swami Kaylasananda. Later, she deepened her studies in Mysore, India. Practicing and teaching Kirtan and Nada Yoga has become her passion for the last years.
Her main purpose in life is to serve as an instrument to pass on the Yoga Teachings she has received.

Vincent is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Teacher. He studied anatomy at Taipei Medical University in Taiwan. He has been leading Yoga Teachers Trainings and International Workshops in Taiwan at Pure Yoga and Yoga Living, and in Canada at Ground Yoga.
Since 2000, Vincent has studied and practiced a variety of Hatha Yoga styles including Ashtanga Vinyasa, Sivananda, Iyengar, Yin, Therapeutic and Restorative yoga, and continues to blend this eclectic mix into his own personal practice and teachings. Vincent teaches thousands of private and group yoga classes each year focusing on blending the body, mind and spirit. He believes that without the union of all three in conjunction with the breath, there is no yoga, just physical movement.
His teaching style consists of hatha yoga asanas and vinyasa integrated with balance, meditation, pranayama (breath), mindfulness, presence, and personal revolutions. In his classes Vincent focuses on anatomical principles of alignment, injury prevention and rehabilitation; combining strength building and flexibility. Students are encouraged to listen to their body, adapt the postures to their body and play with their limits without exceeding them.
Yoga is Vincent’s passion and he believes it is critical to maintain balance in all aspects of life. His hope is to facilitate students to improve their life by making permanent changes in their body, mind and spirit, as they incorporate the principles of yoga into everyday living.

We only have two deluxe one bedroom suites located in our most private building closest to the sea. They have a private bedroom, living room, fully equipped kitchen, generous bathroom and an extra large balcony. Both suites offer a modern open living room with sofa bed, LCD TV, working desk and DVD/ iPod Stereo. They are perfect for a family or couple. The additional rate is a flat rate based on the room and is added on to the total rate package whether a single individual, couple or family.
Our guestrooms are set back just over 50 meters from the water to provide with you with a private community and greater security. A selection of our rooms enjoy this spectacular sea view, while others enjoy the tropical gardens scene.
